Where should the SSD cache be installed? Will both reading and writing be accelerated? Do I need to configure the access block size?

Last modified date: 2018-03-05

The ES NAS does not restrict where the SSD cache can be installed, but it is recommended to install it in slots 1-4 (the bottom row).

The purpose of the SSD cache is to accelerate read operations. A write cache is achieved by using faster RAM disks.

There is no need to specify an SSD access block size when configuring the SSD cache, as the system will automatically adjust and optimize the block size according to cached data content.

It is recommended to install SSDs in the bottom row.
