After installing an SSD that supports SSD Trim into a JBOD enclosure, why does QNAP JBOD Manager for Mac show "--" under "Disk Information > SSD Trim"?

If the main system drive of a Mac computer is an HDD (e.g. Mac Mini 2014), then QNAP JBOD Manager is unable to get the SSD Trim status of SSDs from macOS. This results in QNAP JBOD Manager showing “--”, which means the disk does not support SSD Trim or SSD Trim support is unknown.
