How do I activate a license on another QNAP device?

The license must be deactivated on its current device before it can be applied to another device. Follow the below steps based on what operating system your device uses.
QTS/QVP/QNE/QuTS Hero:
- If you can access the QNAP device where the license is currently activated, download the LUF from License Center. Upload this LUF to License Manager to complete the license deactivation. Once the license seat has been released, you can apply the license to another QNAP device.
- If the QNAP device where the license is currently activated is inaccessible, contact QNAP via the service portal.Note: Perpetual licenses cannot be transferred to another QNAP device. You must purchase a new license.
- If you can access the QNAP device where the license is currently activated, download the LUF from License Center. Upload this LUF to License Manager to complete the license deactivation. Once the license seat has been released, you can apply the license to another QNAP device.
QuTScloud
QuTScloud licenses can be deactivated from License Manager and then applied to another QuTScloud.
Launch the License Center in the new QuTScloud, and directly reuse the occupied seat from existing QuTScloud.
The License Center in each QuTScloud checks the status of licenses periodically. If license conflicts are detected, QuTScloud will enter Maintenance Mode.
