QNAP Reaffirms Commitment to Information Security Management and Reinforces Customer Trust with ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Certification
Taipei, Taiwan, May 14, 2026 – QNAP Systems, Inc. today announced that it has once again achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, following a successful audit by SGS. As the most widely adopted Information Security Management System (ISMS) standard worldwide, this certification confirms that QNAP's information security management meets the most stringent international requirements, as independently verified by a third-party auditor.
"The value of information security must rest on systems that can be independently verified," said Meiji Chang, Chairman of QNAP. "Achieving ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification demonstrates that QNAP's security governance has been objectively examined against international standards. We will uphold that same standard of discipline for all users who place their trust in QNAP."
ISO/IEC 27001:2022 adopts a risk-based management framework and focuses on the three pillars of information security: confidentiality, integrity, and availability, which help organizations systematically identify, assess, and address information security risks. The certification scope covers QNAP's overall ISMS framework, core infrastructure, Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), and the security incident response processes required to support its global operations.
For customers adopting QNAP solutions, this certification delivers the following benefits:
- Enables highly regulated industries such as government, finance, and healthcare to deploy QNAP products and services with greater confidence.
- Provides internationally recognized, independent validation of QNAP's management quality across the product lifecycle and security incident response processes.
- Demonstrates QNAP's steadfast commitment to the responsible handling of customer data, from collection and processing to storage and retention.
Moving forward, QNAP will continue to maintain certification compliance while strengthening its overall information security resilience through regular internal and external audits and ongoing system improvements.
