My NAS does not have an IR Sensor. How can I use a Remote control?

If your NAS does not have IR Sensor, unfortunately you are not able to use any of the QNAP remote controls because all of them use InfraRed for communication. Qnap does not have external USB IR sensors in the NAS compatibility list, so we can not guarantee that external IR Sensor would work on the NAS.

As an alternative solution you can install the app “Qremote” in your mobile phone which needs to be connected to the same local network as your NAS and you will be able to use your mobile as NAS remote control.

"Qremote" application is available for Android and Apple devices and can be downloaded directly from Apple App Store or from Google Play.
