QuTScloud c4.5.2.1379 build 20200730
2020-08-04
Important Notes
- QuTScloud is a virtual operating system designed to run on cloud computing platforms and in virtual environments. You cannot install or run QuTScloud on a computer.
- To start deploying QuTScloud, you must subscribe to a QuTScloud license in QNAP Software Store and activate the license in QNAP License Manager. The maximum number of CPU cores that QuTScloud can use is determined by the QuTScloud license that you choose.
- QuTScloud needs a constant Internet connection. Disconnection from QNAP License Server for more than one day will cause QuTScloud to be disabled.
- You can attach virtual disks to QuTScloud using the virtual machine management software of the host. Note that you will need to shut down the QuTScloud virtual machine before adding virtual disks on some platforms.
- On-premises platforms may ask you to specify a guest operating system type in the configuration file. Select “Linux Ubuntu 64-bit” or a similar option to enable the required virtual hardware emulation support for QuTScloud.
- After deploying QuTScloud, you can use Live Update in the Control Panel to perform updates. You do not need to deploy QuTScloud again for an update.
New Features
- Added on-premises support for VMware (ESXi 6.5 / 6.7), Hyper-V (2019), KVM/QEMU (1.5.1 / 2.2.1), and Proxmox (v6.2-4).
- Added support for Catalyst Cloud.
Known Issues
- iSCSI clients can only directly connect to QuTScloud and mount iSCSI LUNs if QuTScloud is running on DigitalOcean or on the same local network. When running QuTScloud on any other third-party cloud platforms, you must create a VPN connection between the iSCSI client and QuTScloud to establish the connection.
- QVPN does not support PPTP when QuTScloud is hosted on Azure or Catalyst Cloud. Select other protocols instead, such as QBelt, L2TP, or OpenVPN.
System Requirements
- QuTScloud requires at least 2 GB of memory and 48 GB of storage space.
