Alongside its two flourishing wholesale businesses supporting local florists, the company also develops cogeneration infrastructure that powers its greenhouses with electricity, heat, and CO₂ in a zero-emission, eco-friendly model.

Challenges
Róża Group’s core challenge was ensuring data continuity and protection across its cogeneration infrastructure. Any interruption — from hardware failure, network issues, or storage corruption — could lead to gaps in reporting, erroneous operational decisions, or even downtime in cogeneration operations. The existing backup or single-NAS architectures lacked the real-time failover capacity and robustness needed to fully eliminate these risks.
The company needed a solution that would offer enterprise-grade resilience, yet remain cost-efficient and manageable within its IT framework.
Solution
Róża Group implemented a QNAP High Availability cluster built on two TS-h1886XU-RP R2 NAS units as active–passive nodes. This architecture ensures that if one device fails, the other immediately takes over—delivering zero service interruption.
Within this setup, the QNAP cluster handles both real-time storage of telemetric data and long-term archiving of reporting records. Analysis, sharing, and integration with partner systems are also supported via secure, high-speed connectivity.
The TS-h1886XU-RP R2 was chosen for its ideal balance of performance and reliability. Powered by an Intel® Xeon® D processor and ECC memory, it delivers server-grade stability for mission-critical workloads. With 12 HDD + 6 SSD bays, dual redundant power supplies, and built-in 10GbE connectivity, it’s ready for high-speed data flow and cache acceleration. Its PCIe expandability allows flexible upgrades, such as 25GbE network cards. Running on the QuTS hero ZFS-based operating system, it offers enterprise-class data protection with snapshots, deduplication, and self-healing. Combined with HA architecture, it provides seamless reliability and resilience—without the complexity or cost of traditional IT infrastructures.
