The system log shows “RAID X - Not Active”,what do I need to do?

Last modified date: 2022-06-24

  • All NAS Series

The RAID Not Active message indicates that a RAID group can’t be automatically assembled. This sometimes happens if the RAID information is inconsistent on every disk or if there are more faulty disks than the RAID group can tolerate.

Usually, replacing faulty disks doesn’t resolve this issue and may cause data loss. For assistance, contact QNAP support through the QNAP service portal.
