QNAP QTS 4.3.4 OS Sneak-preview: Snapshots Supported by ARM-based NAS, and a Closer Look at the TS-x77 Ryzen NAS

Taipei, Taiwan, September 13, 2017 – QNAP® Systems, Inc. provided a “Live QTS 4.3.4 Presentation” to unveil major advancements of the upcoming QTS 4.3.4 NAS operating system, including snapshot support for ARM-based QNAP NAS, and further information of the pioneering Ryzen™-powered TS-x77 series. QNAP has worked closely with AnnapurnaLabs, an Amazon company, and AMD to create advanced, high-performance, high-security NAS solutions for business and workgroup users.
Snapshot support for ARM-based QNAP NAS
From QTS 4.3.4, QNAP will empower ARM-based NAS with snapshot support. Snapshots fulfill flexible, fast data backup and restoration to prevent data loss - providing an effective solution for disaster recovery in the face of modern malware threats including ransomware. QNAP supports high-efficiency volume and block-based iSCSI LUN snapshots, and features Snapshot Replica, Snapshot Reserve Space, and easy-to-use snapshot management. A closer look at TS-x77 Ryzen NAS
The QNAP NAS family includes models powered by AMD processors, and a new member is on the way – the world's first Ryzen-based NAS. The TS-x77 series leverages the incredible power of Ryzen, featuring processors with up to 8-cores/16-threads with Turbo Core up to 3.7 GHz to greatly boost virtualization performance. Designed as a high-performance storage geared for I/O intensive and virtualization applications, the TS-x77 also supports AMD Radeon™ and NVIDIA® GTX graphics cards to satisfy resource-demanding video editing and playback. Moreover, while 360-degree cameras become increasingly mainstream, QNAP NAS with QTS 4.3.4 will support 360-degree images and videos for an Augmented Reality experience.
