Important Notes

• To configure QuWAN on a QNAP QTS device, download and install QuWAN Agent from QTS App Center.
• To configure QuWAN on VMware ESXi, purchase the QuWAN vRouter Edition from QNAP Software Store and then download the virtual machine from QNAP Download Center.
• QHora-301W, QMiro-201W, and QMiroPlus-201W can only support up to 30 VPN tunnels in QuWAN Orchestrator.
• QuWAN Orchestrator does not support map view in the China domain.
• Ensure to update the firmware of all the QuWAN devices in the organization prior to adding a new QuWAN device. This ensures normal operation of the VPN tunneling protocols on all QuWAN devices.

New Features

• Added VPN server service feature that allows users to configure available QuWAN hubs as a VPN server.
• Supports WAN IP attribute check function to determine if the QuWAN device can be configured as a hub or edge.
• The system can detect the following WAN IP attributes : Public IP address, Behind NAT (Network Address Translation), Behind NAT (Device role - Hub or edge), Public IP (IPSec / IKE passthrough failure)
• Added service port management feature that allows users to add custom service ports and modify QuWAN service ports on QuWAN devices (QNAP NAS, QuCPE, QGD switches, and third-party hypervisors). Users can only view the service port settings of QNAP routers in QuWAN Orchestrator. To configure service port settings, users must access QuRouter.
• Users can select preconfigured segments as the source and destination in firewall rule settings.
• Quality of Service (QoS) supports a default service class. Users can change the default service class to a different service class based on their network requirements.
• Added segment settings in the QuWAN Device settings page.
• Changed "Alert Settings" user interface strings to "System Notifications" and modified user interface to improve user experience.

Compatibility

• QuWAN QBelt QVPN server is compatible with QNAP NAS, QuCPE, QGD switches, and QuWAN vRouter Edition (for third-party hypervisors). This feature is currently unavailable for QNAP routers.

System Requirements

• QuWAN vRouter for QNAP devices (excluding QNAP routers) and QuWAN vRouter Edition for VMware ESXi requires at least 1 GB of memory and 1 virtual CPU (vCPU).
