QES 2.0.0 build 20190423

2019-04-30

Compatibility

  • ES1640dc/ES1640dc v2

Fixed Issues

  • It was not possible to access a LUN while deleting a file from the LUN using SMB if deduplication was enabled on any shared folder or LUN in the LUN's storage pool.
  • The NAS could not join an active directory domain that contained 200,000 users.
  • Creating an Rsync job would fail if the username for the destination server contained any special characters.
  • Linux clients could not mount or list shared folders using NFSv3 if the QES DNS settings were invalid.
  • It was not possible to create a shared folder in a storage pool after powering off the NAS, unplugging drives in the storage pool, powering on the NAS, performing a NAS firmware update, and then reinserting the drives into the NAS.
  • Disabling Synchronous I/O on an iSCSI LUN could result in memory leaks.
  • It was sometimes not possible to shut down a storage controller using the command line.
  • The battery backup unit (BBU) status LED flashed green to indicate normal, instead of being continuously lit.
  • It was not possible to create or view shared folders after updating the NAS firmware if the NAS encountered an abnormal shutdown before the firmware update.
  • Scheduled SnapSync jobs would not start after modifying the QES time and SnapSync job settings.

Enhancements

  • Reduced the time QES takes to load local users and local groups when configuring shared folder permissions.
  • Reduced the CPU load when deleting iSCSI LUN snapshots.
  • When a PSU encounters an error, QES dumps the PSU status information to a log in order to help with troubleshooting.
