How to check for possible hardware faults?

Procedure
In this list, we have collected some of the most common hardware issues that you might be experiencing. Please read them carefully as there is a chance you can recover your device back to its working order.
Follow these steps:
Power off your NAS
Once it shut down, remove 1) All the disks including M.2 , 2) Expansion Cards and 3) Expansion Unit from the NAS
Use the original QNAP RAM modules the unit has shipped with.
Press the power button to turn the NAS back on.
Check the errors below to see which one you are experiencing , If you have experienced the following hardware problems, please contact your reseller for warranty purposes.
If LEDs on the front panel turn on, go to step b
- No Led, the power adapter or power supply failure
If the NAS sounds a short beep, go to step c
- No short beep, the U-BOOT/BIOS Boot Fail
After about 2-4 minutes, if the NAS sounds one or three long beeps, directly connect the NAS with your PC/Mac using an ethernet Cable and launch Qfinder in PC/Mac, go to step d
- No long beeps, Firmware on Flash/DOM failure. you may fix it using Firmware recovery guide.
Hot plug the disks back in while the NAS is powering on, then clicking the Details button in Qfinder, if all the disks are detected, go to step 6
Warning: Do not initialize the system when LCD or QNAP Finder prompt a confirmation message.
Not all the disks can be detected, disk hardware problem or NAS drive bay issue.
- Do a comparison test with the non-detectable disks: Connecting the disk to a PC and using Disk Diagnostic tool providing by Disk Manufacturer.
- Boot the NAS up with the detectable disks and replace the faulty disk.
All the disks are detected by the NAS, reboot the NAS.
- If the NAS can't boot up properly, contact QNAP support for further assessing.
