How to set up myQNAPcloud to remotely access a QNAP NAS?

Procedure

The following sections explain how to register and access your device with myQNAPcloud.

Register your device with myQNAPcloud

You must create a QNAP ID before you register your device with myQNAPcloud. Go to account.qnap.com,

  1. Log in to the device as an administrator.
  2. Open myQNAPcloud.
  3. Click Get Started.
    The Welcome to myQNAPcloud! window appears.
  4. Specify a QNAP ID and Password.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Enter a Device name.
Note

This name is used to identify your NAS on myQNAPcloud and must be unique across all users.

  1. Click Next.
  2. Enable any myQNAPcloud services and configure the Access Control setting.
  3. Click Next.
    Your device is registered on myQNAPcloud.
  4. Review the summary page for registration details and service guidelines.
  5. Click Finish.
Remotely access your device with myQNAPcloud
  1. Go to https://www.myqnapcloud.com.
  2. Sign in using your QNAP account.
  3. Go to Device Management > My Devices.
    The system displays all devices registered to your QNAP account.
  4. Identify a device and click .
  5. Click the link in the SmartURL section.
    The login page for the NAS opens.
