How to enable Face ID authentication for QuMagie iOS?

Scenario

If your iOS device supports Face ID, then you can enable Face ID authentication for QuMagie. When enabled, you will be required to authenticate with your face every time you open QuMagie. For details on iOS devices that support Face ID, see iPhone and iPad models that support Face ID.

1. Setting up Face ID on your iOS device

Face ID must be set up on your iOS device first. For details, see the tutorial: Use Face ID on your iPhone or iPad Pro.

2. Enabling Face ID for QuMagie

  1. Open QuMagie on your iOS device.
  2. Go to Settings > General.
  3. Tap Passcode Lock to enable the passcode lock.
  4. Enter a passcode.
  5. Confirm the passcode.
  6. Close and reopen QuMagie.
  7. The Enter passcode page appears and the Face ID permission window appears.
  8. Tap OK to grant Face ID permissions to QuMagie.

    Tip
    If the Face ID permissionwindow did not appear then perform the following steps:
    1. Ensure Face ID is set up on your iOS device (see previous steps of this tutorial).
    2. Go to iOS system settings.
    3. Go to the FACE ID & Passcode page.
    4. Enable Face ID for QuMagie.
    5. Close and reopen QuMagie.
  9. Glance at your iOS device to authenticate with your face.
