Analysis
There are several scenarios in which you may not be able to access Control Panel from the QTS or QuTS hero desktop.

Solution
- Click
(Main menu) on the top-left corner, and then click Control Panel:
- Create a desktop shortcut for Control Panel. For details, see the FAQ How can I create an app shortcut on the Desktop of my NAS?
Scenario 2
You are not in the administrator user group. Only administrators (users in the administrator group) can access the Control Panel.
Solution
Add your user account to the administrator user group:
- Login to your NAS with the default administrator "admin" account.TipFor details on default administrator "admin" account, see What is the default system administrator password for my NAS?
- Open Control Panel.
- Go to Privileges > User Groups.
- Locate the "administrators" group and click the Edit Group Users icon.
The Edit User Groups window appears.
- Locate the user account to add and click the checkbox to select.
- Click Apply.
The selected user is now an administrator. You can now login with the user account and Control Panel should be accessible. If Control Panel is not accessible, see the other solutions listed in this FAQ.
Scenario 3
Your system configuration file is corrupted. If your system configuration file is corrupted, this may cause Control Panel to become inaccessible.
