Answer

No, LDAP authentication in Domain Security doesn't support Windows AD.

LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) is a lightweight and platform-independent protocol used to access and modify directory services. However, Windows AD (Active Directory) is Microsoft's proprietary directory service that uses a different authentication mechanism called Kerberos. Since LDAP and Windows AD use different protocols and authentication mechanisms, they are not directly compatible.

Instead, you can use AD authentication to join the Windows AD domain. Go to NAS Control Panel > Privilege > Domain Security > AD authentication for instructions. For more details, refer to this article: How to Join QNAP NAS to Microsoft Active Directory (AD)
