Can I update Android Station on the TAS-168/268 to a newer version?

The Android platform on the TAS-168 and TAS-268 is a dedicated design for its CPU and cannot be changed. Therefore, QNAP cannot update Android Station after the CPU manufacturer ends support for the Android version that the platform is based on.

QNAP will continue to provide technical support and security updates according to the Android Security Bulletins provided by Google until support ends for the current Android version.
