Why is there is a difference between a file’s “Date modified” timestamp and the “Modified” timestamp in “FTP properties”?

Last modified date: 2018-02-12

Windows enables you to access an FTP folder on your NAS by entering FTP://<NAS IP ADDRESS> or FTP://<NAS NAME> into the Windows Explorer address bar. In this Windows Explorer FTP view, accessing the properties of a file shows a “Modified” timestamp that is different to the “Last Modified” timestamp shown in Windows Explorer.

This is caused by a know Windows issue. The “Modified” timestamp in “FTP Properties” uses UTC time, while “Date modified” uses the local time of your PC.
