Mattermost, the World’s Best Private Cloud Slack-Alternative, Now Available for QNAP NAS
Taipei, Taiwan, December 12, 2017 - QNAP Systems, Inc. (QNAP®) today announced the release of the Mattermost application for QNAP NAS. Mattermost is a Slack-like team communication system and is known as one of the best and most-advanced workplace messaging solutions in the world. With the Mattermost application on NAS, businesses and organizations can boost their productivity by creating teams and communication channels and custom integrations for all their teamwork and communication needs.
"We wanted to provide our users with an easy-to-use private chat solution for their daily communication needs. Mattermost on QNAP NAS also gives our users the option to create their own private chat server so that all their chat messages and files are not transmitted outside the NAS.” said Aseem Manmualiya, Product Manager of QNAP.
A system administrator can monitor team statistics, change team member roles, deactivate accounts, create new teams, and configure other system-level features as needed. Users can send email invitations to other users to join teams, add members to a channel, rename the channel, import contacts and themes from Slack or create their own custom theme.
If unavailable for chat, users can stay updated via email notifications. Users can also download the Mattermost apps for Android and iOS to always be connected and within reach of their colleagues.
Availability
Mattermost is now available for download from the QTS App Center.
