Scenario

Users may want to rename a local folder on their PC that is currently paired with a shared folder on the NAS through Qsync Client. However, directly renaming a paired folder is not supported by Qsync.

Workaround

To work around this limitation, you can remove the current folder pairing, rename the folder, and then re-establish the pair. Follow these steps:

  1. Remove the Folder Pair
    • Open Qsync Client.
    • Go to View and manage paired folders.
    • Click the X icon to remove the current pairing.
  2. Rename the Local Folder
    • On your PC, rename the local folder as desired.
  3. Recreate the Folder Pair
    • In Qsync Client, go to View and manage paired folders.
    • click Add to create a new pairing.
    • Select the renamed local folder and pair it with the original NAS shared folder.
