My cloud storage is full and won’t let me update my files through HybridMount. What should I do?
Applicable Products
HybridMount
Overview
Using HybridMount, you can mount your cloud storage account such as Google Drive or Yandex Disk on your NAS. When cloud services are mounted on your NAS, you can add, edit, and manage your cloud files using File Station or NAS services and protocols.
When your cloud storage space gets full, your cloud service provider will not allow HybridMount to update any more files.
Solution
You can either choose to upgrade your cloud storage plan to increase the space, or you can remove files to release storage space.
Usually, when you remove files from your cloud storage account, you will automatically free up space. However, for services like Google Drive or Yandex Disk, when you remove files, storage space isn’t automatically released. Any removed files are just moved to the Trash folder. Files in the Trash folder still take up cloud storage space. To free up space, you need to log into your cloud storage account and empty the Trash folder. You can perform the following steps.
Deleting Files from the Google Drive Trash Folder
- Go to https://drive.google.com.
- Log in to your account.
- On the left menu, click Trash.
- Select the files you want to permanently delete.
- On the top right portion of the screen, click
.
A confirmation appears. - Click Delete Forever.
Google Drive deletes the files and releases storage space.
Emptying the Yandex Disk Trash Folder
- Go to https://disk.yandex.com/.
- Log in to your account.
- Open the Trash folder.
- Click Empty Trash.
Yandex Disk deletes the files and releases storage space.
