Why can't I delete the recording files inside the QVRProRecording folder via File Station?
Applicable Products
QVR Pro
Scenario
You attempt to delete a recording file from the QVRProRecording folder using File Station, but receive an error message such as:

Inside the QVRProRecording folder, the files you see are recording index entries, not the actual video recordings themselves.
When a user plays or downloads one of these entries, QVR Pro dynamically combines the index data with the recorded video frame data to generate the actual recording file on demand.
To ensure recording integrity, the default QVRProRecording folder is locked by the system. This means you cannot delete, rename, or modify files directly through File Station.
Solution
To delete recordings safely, use the QVR Pro application instead of File Station.
Open the QVR Pro App on your QNAP NAS.
Go to Recording Storage.
Navigate to Recording Location and Days.
Use the [Delete Recording] feature to select and delete specific recordings.
QVR Pro may create a background task after deletion. You can track its progress in the Background Tasks at the top.
This is the only supported and safe method for managing recorded data in QVR Pro.
