TS-x73AU not able to boot with QM2 expansion card installed
Applied models:
NAS Series TS-X73AU including TS-873AU, TS-873AU-RP, TS-1273AU, TS-1673AU-RP
Not including x73AeU series isTS-873AeU, TS-873AeU-RP are not not been affected
Applied Firmware:
All QTS Firmware Versions
If after installing the QM2 Expansion card on a NAS series TS-X73AU model, it is not able to boot or the card is not recognized, this could be because the BIOS version is not yet updated.

If your BIOS is older than Q052AR14, you need to update the NAS BIOS.
You can download the BIOS file from our Download Center.
Follow steps below how to update BIOS without a graphic card:
1. Please prepare a USB flash drive with 10 MB free space and formatted as FAT.
2. Extract the ZIP file to the USB flash drive root path
3. Please shutdown NAS and remove all HDD, m.2 SSD and expansion card.
4. Attach the flash drive to any port of USB in the back of the NAS.
5. Power on.
6. Please check the NAS status LED:
6.1 Solid green means NAS is booting.
6.2 Solid red means NAS is booting with the flash drive.
6.3 Flashing red means NAS is updating the BIOS.
6.4 Flashing red and green with long beep means the updating has completed.
7.After BIOS updating is complete, please un-plug the power cord directly and also the flash drive.
8.Please insert all HDD, m.2 SSD, expansion card and power cord and power on.
