Why can’t I resume my virtual machines after upgrading to QTS 5.0.0?

Answer

This is caused by compatibility issues between QTS 5.0.0 and virtual machines using the AMD Opteron 63xx (Gen 5 Class Opteron) CPU Model.

To resolve this issue, force shutdown the VM and modify the CPU model to another option.

Go to the VM information screen.
Click > Force Shutdown.
Go to Settings > General.
Under CPU Model, select another option.
Go to the Information tab.
Click to restart the VM.
