To restrict a folder's capacity, use one of the following options:

Create a Volume-Based Snapshot shared folder with a quota

Important: You must have a storage pool on the NAS to perform this action.

  1. Log in to QTS as an administrator.
  2. Go to Control Panel > Privilege > Shared Folders > Shared Folder.
  3. Click Create > Snapshot shared folder.
  4. Specify the maximum folder size in Allocate folder quota.

Create a iSCSI disk

The iSCSI disk can be configured with a set capacity and mounted to the iSCSI target using the Virtual Disk function. Shared folders can then be created on the disk.

Set a quota

Quota settings are user-based. You can restrict the maximum usage space based on username per volume.

Note: Qsync applies to quota setting.

  1. Log in to QTS as an administrator.
  2. Go to Control Panel > Privilege > Quota.
  3. Tick Enable Quota for all users and specify the Quota Size.
