What shoud I do if App Center fails to list the apps?

If you find the App Center fails to list the apps, here are several possible reasons that may cause this issue:

  • Incorrect system time
  • Can’t connect to update.qnap.com
  • App center related files corrupted

Incorrect system time

If the NAS system time is incorrect, you may encounter issues. Attempt to synchronize with an NTP server by going to Control Panel > System > General Settings > Time.

Can’t connect to update.qnap.com

  1. Go to Control Panel > System > Firmware update > Live Update
  2. Click on Check for Update

If you meet the prompt Firmware upgrade can't be performed. Please cehck the network connection, or update it manaully

Please try following methods to resolve the issue:

  • Check the firewall setting with network adminstrator if update.qnap.com is blocked.

  • Change the DNS setting to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4

  • Change System Default Gateway to Auto

    1. Go to Network & Virtual Switch > Network > Interface
    2. Change System Default Gateway to Auto.

App Center related files corrupted

  1. ssh access to the NAS
  2. run the following command rm /etc/config/rssdoc/*
  3. Logout and Login QTS as an administrator
  4. Open App center to check if the issue persists.
