QNAP Announces Virtualization Station 4 Virtual Machine High Availability (HA) Beta, Inviting Users to Experience It First!

Taipei, Taiwan, October 13, 2025 – QNAP® Systems, Inc., a leading computing, networking, and storage solutions innovator, today released Virtualization Station 4.1.0, which introduces the Virtual Machine High Availability (HA) Beta. We now invite users to participate in the Beta Test Program to experience VM high availability architecture with minimal downtime. Participants who submit feedback will have a chance to win a TR-004 JBOD!

Virtualization Station now includes the new High Availability (HA) feature, combining QuTS hero's ZFS architecture with SnapSync real-time synchronization technology to provide automatic protection and seamless switchover between two NAS devices. It also supports multiple fault detection conditions and bidirectional protection, ensuring quick switchover to a backup NAS in the event of a failure, allowing uninterrupted business operation.

"Virtualization Station 4 is a trusted NAS virtualization platform for enterprise IT teams,” said Oliver Lam, Product Manager of QNAP, adding “With VM HA, IT staff can confidently ensure business continuity in the face of host failures, making it especially suitable for SMBs to enhance the resilience and sustainability of critical services.”

Note: The Virtual Machine HA Beta feature in Virtualization Station 4.1 is supported only on NAS models with QuTS hero 5.3.0 or above. QTS is not supported.
