QNAP Releases Vcam Mobile App That Turns Mobile Devices into IP Cameras
Taipei, Taiwan, June 18, 2014 – QNAP® Systems, Inc. today announced the availability of the new surveillance mobile app Vcam that turns mobile devices with video recording functions into IP cameras, enabling the recording of live video & audio feeds on the Turbo NAS. The free Vcam mobile app greatly saves the costs in purchasing costly IP cameras.
The Vcam mobile app introduces a new mobile surveillance application, allowing users of Turbo NAS Surveillance Station to quickly record live video and audio feeds with their mobile devices and transmit to a Turbo NAS. Vcam allows users to flexibly define the resolutions of video recordings, monitor and play back the recorded content via the web user interface of Turbo NAS Surveillance Station and VMobile app.
“With the Vcam mobile app, users can instantly record emergent events and special moments in life such as birthday parties & family reunions, and wirelessly save the videos to their Turbo NAS,” said Mike Shaw, product manager of QNAP. “Users can easily play back those events on the Surveillance Station web user interface or on the VMobile app.”
