QNAP Product Reliability Statement
Taipei, Taiwan, September 18, 2019 - QNAP® Systems, Inc. (QNAP), a leading computing, networking and storage solution innovator, today issued a statement in response to recent media coverage that specific central processing units (CPUs) that certain QNAP NAS use have a shorter-than-expected service life. QNAP clarifies that all QNAP products are designed and manufactured according to all specifications and recommendations given by the CPU manufacturer. QNAP product reliability remains unaffected as they meet all quality goals set by both QNAP and the CPU manufacturer. QNAP will continue monitoring for abnormal error rates and work with the CPU manufacturer to ensure a reliable QNAP product user experience.
