What is the RAID configuration for the SSD cache? Can I make my own modifications?

Last modified date: 2018-03-05

The ES NAS SSD cache is implemented based on the ZFS cache architecture. It uses a RAID0-like configuration to distribute data evenly on the cache drive. This is because when cache data is lost, an identical set of data can be found in the back-end disk. Hence, data consistency of the actual storage system will not be compromised. No other RAID type is currently provided for configuring the cache settings.

The two controllers share the same capacity of SSDs (using 4x 400G SSD as an example).
