Can I access the home folder for another user?

Solution

No, by default, users can only access their own home folder.

NAS administrators can manually adjust permissions for users to access other home folders. Additionally, administrators can give themselves permissions to the Homes shared folder to give themselves access to every user's home folder. For additional details, see the user guide for your firmware.
