Why doesn’t Storage & Snapshots immediately show changes made to a connected TL series SATA JBOD enclosure?

After connecting a TL series SATA JBOD enclosure to the NAS, performing one of the following actions will change the hardware state of the JBOD enclosure:

- Connect or disconnect a SATA connector cable.
- Install or remove a disk inside the SATA JBOD enclosure.
- Power on or power off the SATA JBOD enclosure.

When QTS detects that the JBOD enclosure hardware state has changed it must rescan each of the enclosure’s installed disks, which takes approximately 20–30 seconds. After QTS has finished rescanning, Storage & Snapshots will show the new state of the JBOD enclosure.
