Browser Station allows you to create and manage several virtual browsers on your QNAP device.
How do I use Browser Station?
Browser Station provides access to multiple browsers, allowing easy remote access to LAN resources, simplified proxy functions, and direct download access to files from websites to your device. For instructions on how to install and configure the application, see the tutorial.
Why do browsers sometimes fail to open in Browser Station?
This could occur due to insufficient, limited, or unavailable resources allocated to the current user or on the system. Opening a new browser in Browser Station requires at least 1GB of free memory. Make sure that the network connection, storage capacity and quota for the current user are available and sufficient.
Why am I unable to find the browsers I created in Browser Station after rebooting the device or performing an application update?
This limitation is attributed to the application design update. You must recreate the browser instances in Browser Station after restarting the device or updating the application.
Why are certain features, such as opening the browser in a popup window, unavailable in Browser Station?
By default, Browser Station uses the Google Chrome web browser. Certain websites and online applications that are unsupported by the browser may not be displayed in Browser Station. QNAP recommends using Container Station or Virtualization Station to create a virtual OS, and then installing your preferred browser in order to access all the browser features.
Why am I experiencing issues with the browser display when using the zoom function?
Display issues such as distortion or broken lines could occur if the zooming ratio of the web browser and the browser inside Browser Station do not correspond. Make sure that you maintain a zoom factor of 100% in your web browser while using Browser Station, and then use the zoom function in the browser integrated with Browser Station to magnify the content.
