QNAP Partners with Hailo to Bring Cutting-edge AI-powered Surveillance Solutions
Boost AI surveillance with up to 50% lower running costs by simply adding a Hailo-8™ M.2 module to QNAP NAS

This partnership brings cutting-edge AI-powered facial recognition and people counting solutions to surveillance systems with boosted performance using the Hailo-8™ M.2 AI acceleration module.
The partnership sees Hailo's advanced AI acceleration technology integrated with QNAP's QVR Face, a smart facial recognition solution, and QVR Human people counting solution. The combined solution boosts video recognition performance and capabilities, making it the ideal choice for an economical centralized security and AI surveillance solution in large-scale deployment.

Based on the Hailo-8 AI processor with high power efficiency, the Hailo-8 M.2 module delivers unprecedented AI performance for edge devices, enabling over 4 times higher performance than a Tensor Processing Unit (TPU). The joint solution of QNAP and Hailo centralizes AI computing on a surveillance server, saving significant costs of cloud computing or purchasing a large number of expensive AI cameras. Users can simply add a Hailo-8 M.2 AI acceleration module to a QNAP surveillance server for boosted AI recognition performance - fulfilling highly-efficient, large-scale smart surveillance with up to 50% lower running costs.
Offering broad compatibility of over 6,700 IP cameras from 190 renowned brands, including ONVIF compatible cameras, QNAP surveillance solutions allow users to choose from various IP cameras based on their needs. Compared to using expensive AI cameras equipment with a dedicated surveillance server (narrower compatibility), users can enjoy greater maintenance flexibility for future scalability and maximize their investment using a QNAP surveillance solution with Hailo-8 M.2 module.
