QNAP Demonstrates its Continued Category Dominance; Shows Off Latest Products and Technologies at Taiwan’s Famed COMPUTEX Computer & Consumer Electronics Tradeshow

Taipei, Taiwan, May 24, 2011 - QNAP Systems, Inc., a leading manufacturer of world-class NAS servers, NVR Video Surveillance Systems and Networked Media Players today announced it will display its newest, comprehensive lineup of Turbo NAS servers, VioStor NVR video surveillance systems, and the latest networked media player for home theaters at the annual COMPUTEX tradeshow in Taipei, Taiwan May 31-June 4.

Turbo NAS Servers
TS-x79 Business series Turbo NAS – New 8 & 10-drive desktop and 10 & 12-drive rack-mounted enterprise-class NAS servers powered by multi-core Intel® Xeon® & Core™ i3 CPUs with Intel’s vaunted Sandy Bridge I/O architecture. The TS-x79 series features SATA 6Gb/s, USB 3.0, and expandable DDR3 RAM and redundant power supplies (on some models) and optional 10Gb network card for 10Gbit/sec networks, delivering blistering throughput exceeding 1,020MB/sec.

TS-x59 Pro II Business series Turbo NAS – New 4, 5, and 6-drive desktop NAS servers, powered by Intel D525 dual-core Atom® 1.8GHz CPUs and expandable DDRIII RAM, are ideal for SMB and Corporate network deployment. The TS-x59 Pro II series are the first QNAP NAS models to feature USB 3.0 and SATA 6Gb/s support.

New Turbo NAS V3.5 NAS Management Software
QNAP will demonstrate its new V3.5 NAS Management Software, which is embedded into all QNAP Turbo NAS servers as firmware. QNAP has a long history of continuing to add new features to its Turbo NAS servers and makes new versions available free of charge. New in V3.5 comes advanced support for business customers, including LDAP support, iSCSI LUN backups, anti-virus application, and military-grade AES encryption for NAS volumes and externally attached storage. The new firmware will be installed in new Turbo NAS models and is available for free download for legacy users.

VioStor NVR Surveillance Systems
New PC-less VS-2004 (4-channel) and VS-2008L (8-channel) VioStor NVR (Network Video Recorder) models are ideal for securing small office, home, or retail stores and feature broad IP camera support, advanced video analytics, and remote live monitoring from mobile devices or any Internet-connected computer.
