PC Pro, awarded it an overall rating of 5 out of 6, along side its coveted 'A List' and 'PC Pro Recommended' accolades. IT Pro gave the product a maximum 6 out of 6 and a coveted 'IT Pro Recommended' accolade.

The reviewer, Dave Mitchell, pointed out that the TS-879 Pro shined in the performance tests, awarding it 6 out of 6 in this category. Furthermore, the reviewer acknowledged that the TS-879 Pro is well built and quick to install, with a multitude of additional features.
