Important Notes

• The code signing certificates are about to expire. These include QTS SSL certificates, and certificates for QuLog Center and License Center. Update to the latest version 2.1.5.0 to renew these certificates.
• For stability reasons, QNAP prohibits any application downgrades.
• Version 2.1.0.0 can ONLY be upgraded from 2.0.0.0 and later versions. Older versions (1.x) cannot be upgraded to version 2.1.0.0. Users using version 1.x can first upgrade to 2.0.0.0 then to 2.1.0.0.
• All model names now start with QVP and end with a channel number.
• The default password for administrators is changed to the first MAC address of the NAS in uppercase letters and without special characters. For instance, if the first MAC address on the device is 00-08-9B-F6-15-75, then the default password is 00089BF61575. Administrators can log in the device via admin/00089BF615755.
• Use the QVP firmware for updates. Do not install QVR Pro, QVR Elite, or QVR Pro Client qpkgs to the system.
• If you are using QVP 2.0, use the QVP firmware to update QuLog Center and Notification Center.
• Helpdesk and myQNAPCloud Link will not be removed during updates, but will no longer be installed on new devices or when clean-installing 2.1.0.0 QVP series NVR. You can download them at the Plug-in Center.
• QVR Pro Client has been renamed to QVR Smart Client.
