How do I perform rsync from a Synology NAS to a QNAP QES NAS?

Procedure

Follow the below instructions to create rsync jobs for syncing data from a Synology NAS to a QNAP QES NAS.

Configure Rsync Server

Open Backup Station.
Go to Backup Server > Rsync Server.
Set the Port number to 873.
Enable Allow remote Rsync server to back up data to NAS.
Click Apply.

Enable SSH Service on the network interface to use

Open Control Panel and go to System > Network > Service Binding.
Find SSH Service and enable the network interface you will use to perfom the sync.
Click Apply.

Enable Transfer encryption

As syncing data to a QES NAS via rsync uses SSH with encryption, you must enable Transfer encryption.
