How to set up a DHCP server in the QHora-301W router?

Overview

You can use a DHCP server on a LAN network to host IP addresses from your router dynamically, and help decrease the IP distribution overhead and manage DHCP clients.


Answer

  1. Log in to QuRouter.
  2. Go to Network > VLAN & DHCP Server Service.
  3. Click Add VLAN.
  4. Configure the VLAN settings.
    1. Specify the VLAN ID.
    2. Specify a VLAN description that contains a maximum of 256 characters.
    3. Specify a fixed IP address.
    4. Select a subnet mask from the drop-down menu.
    5. Specify the MTU value.
    6. Optional: Select Enable Spanning Tree Protocol (STP).
  5. Configure the DHCP server settings.
    1. Select Enable DHCP server service.
    2. Specify the start IP address.
    3. Specify the end IP address.
    4. Specify the DHCP lease time.
    5. Configure the DNS server connection.
      • Use the VLAN IP address: Use the fixed IP address assigned to the VLAN ID.
      • Manually: Specify new primary and secondary DNS server IP addresses.
  6. Configure the IP reservation settings.
    1. Click Add.
    2. Specify the device name.
    3. Specify the IP address.
    4. Enter the MAC address of the device.
    5. Click .
  7. Click Apply.

QuRouter saves the settings and enables the DHCP server settings on the router.
