How do I assign graphic card to HD station?

Last modified date: 2023-04-19
Function different from models

Please note that some NAS models come with an onboard HDMI port, which will always be used as the output display. In these models, the graphics card is mainly utilized for media transcoding and AI acceleration purposes. On the other hand, if a NAS model does not come with an onboard HDMI port, both media transcoding and HDMI output can be enabled using a supported graphics card. It's important to note that the internal GPU is responsible for facilitating hardware transcoding during playback.

Applicable products:
  • The NAS series can install Graphic Card
  • HybridDesk Station

This can be done with the following steps:

  1. Login QTS as an administrator

  2. Open Control Panel

  3. Find System > Hardware > Hardware Resources

  4. Select QTS Mode

  5. Click Apply.

  6. Click OK to restart the NAS for the changes to take effect.

Please check compatibility list for different supported function in graphic cards.
