After rebooting a NAS running QuTS hero, HDD metadata will have been freed from the cache, so when the system reads data from the HDDs for the first time after the reboot, the reading speed will be slower than expected. After the first read, the system will have stored the metadata in the cache, and the reading speed will recover to its original performance.
