How to use CloudConvert with QNAP Apps?

CloudConvert is an online file conversion tool that helps you to convert files to other file formats. If you are a CloudConvert user, some QNAP apps can be integrated with the CloudConvert service for the purpose of quickly converting files.
This tutorial will guide you through the process of setting up an CloudConvert API V2 key for use in these QNAP apps.
Obtain API Key from CloudConvert
- Go to CloudConvert - Dashboard
- Click Create New API key
- Enter a Name for the API key and select the following Scopes: user.read, task.read, task.write.
- Click Create.
The Personal Access Token popup appears.
- Copy and save your Personal Access Token.
Use the CloudConvert API Key in Qfiling
- Log in to your NAS.
- Open Qfiling.
- Click
> Third-party Service.
- Click “+”.
The Add API Key window appears. - Enter the API Key details:
- Name: Enter a name for the API Key.
- API Key (Personal Access Token): Enter the Personal Access Token from CloudConvert.
- Click Apply.
CloudConvert can now be used in Qfiling.
Use the CloudConvert API V2 Key in File Station
Important:
- QTS 5.0.1 (or later) is required to use CloudConvert API V2 keys.
- CloudConvert turned off their API V1 on January 1, 2022.
- Log in to your NAS.
- Open File Station.
- Click
> Settings > Third-party Service.
- Enter the Personal Access Token from CloudConvert in the API key field.
- Click Apply.
CloudConvert can now be used in File Station.
