QNAP Introduces Audio Box to Extend OceanKTV Support to More NAS Models

Taipei, Taiwan, June 21, 2016 – QNAP® Systems, Inc. today announced the release of the Audio Box, a companion device that allows OceanKTV (QNAP’s NAS-based karaoke application) to be used with a wider range of QNAP NAS models.
“Since the launch of OceanKTV, the idea of a NAS-based karaoke system has intrigued many users,” said Marcus Yang, Product Manager of QNAP, adding “The Audio Box fulfils the rising demand for OceanKTV by extending compatibility to a wider range of HDMI-enabled QNAP NAS models, allowing more users to enjoy the unique entertainment experience that only OceanKTV can provide.”
QNAP Audio Box supports two 6.3mm dynamic microphones and connects to compatible QNAP NAS models via USB. QNAP NAS provides high-capacity storage for backup, private cloud, sharing, multimedia entertainment, and with OceanKTV it is transformed into an innovative and budget-friendly karaoke system, adding even greater value, functionality, and fun for NAS users.
QNAP Audio Box supports TS-x51, TS-x51+, TS-x53 Pro, TS-x53S Pro, TS-453mini, TS-x53A, TS-x71 and TVS-x71T NAS series. The NAS must have at least 4GB RAM to use the OceanKTV app. If the Audio Box is connected to a NAS that already has microphone jacks, only two microphones will be supported for audio input.
