QUSBCam2

Root Cause

Due to system architecture adjustments in QTS 5.2.0, QUSBCam2 3.0.0 no longer supports H.264 transcoding unless your camera supports H.264 output.

Solution

If you still need H.264 output with MJPEG-only USB cameras, you need to downgrade QTS, QUSBCam2, and CAYIN MediaSign to earlier versions.

  • QTS: 5.1.8 or earlier versions
  • QUSBCam2: 2.0.3 or earlier versions
  • CAYIN MediaSign Player: 3.0.x or earlier versions

Downgrade QTS

To downgrade QTS, go to Control Panel > Firmware Update > Manual Installation, and then upload an installation package.

You can find earlier QTS firmware files in the QNAP Download Center.

Important

Downgrading your QTS version may cause potential issues. We recommend backing up your data before downgrading.
