The YouTube App No Longer Available in HybridDesk Station Due to Google Policy Changes
Taipei, Taiwan, October 5, 2019 – QNAP® Systems, Inc. (QNAP), a leading computing, networking and storage solution innovator, today issued a statement in response to recent user reports that the YouTube app in HybridDesk Station does not work as intended. Upon opening the app, users will notice that the interface is changed to a web page type screen instead of the original “Leanback” type one. QNAP confirms that Google policy changes have been the root cause. To maintain a high standard of user experience, QNAP has removed the YouTube app from HybridDesk Station. QNAP is now looking into the possibility to make the app available again with its original appearance.
