QNAP Discontinues Support for Internet Explorer and Edge Legacy Browsers
Taipei, Taiwan, February 9, 2021 - QNAP® Systems, Inc (QNAP), a leading computing, networking and storage solution innovator, today announced that it has discontinued the support for Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) and Edge Legacy browsers.
Based on Microsoft’s lifecycle policy, IE 11 has been largely discontinued since November 30, 2020 and the Microsoft Edge Legacy desktop will be discontinued from March 9, 2021. Taking overall compatibility and security aspects into consideration, QNAP have now ended support for IE and Edge Legacy browsers. To ensure their security and browsing experience, users are recommended to switch to a modern browser such as the new Edge (Chromium-based), Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and/or Safari.
