QNAP Announces the QSW-IM1200-8C, an Industrial-grade Full 10GbE Switch for Deploying High-speed Networks in Demanding Industrial Environments
Taiwan, Taipei, September 17, 2021- QNAP® Systems, Inc., a leading computing, networking and storage solutions innovator, today released the QSW-IM1200-8C industrial-grade full 10GbE Switch. Featuring Layer 2 management functions in the user-friendly QSS Operating System and a robust industrial-grade hardware design, the QSW-IM1200-8C accelerates high-speed network deployment in the rugged environments of Industry 4.0, smart transportation, and smart cities.
“With the growing prevalence of smart industries and factory automation, QNAP introduces a brand new industrial-grade 10GbE Managed Switch Solution, enabling user-friendly high-speed networking deployment in demanding environments.” said Ricky Ho, QNAP Product Manager.
The QSW-IM1200-8C complies with IP20-rated standards and uses a fanless design and smart ventilated construction to operate in temperatures from -30° to 65° Celsius in airy environments or from -30° to 45° Celsius in enclosed spaces. With three redundant DC power supplies and a circuit breaker, the electrical circuits are protected from potential overvoltage while ensuring constant operations in constant-motion factories and outdoor environments with varying power quality. Industrial computers (IPC) can be connected to the QSW-IM1200-8C via QNAP 10GbE Network Adapters to boost the performance of virtualization, surveillance, 3D printing, large-file data transfers, and other bandwidth-demanding tasks in high-speed industrial network environments.
The QSW-IM1200-8C comes with four 10GbE SFP+ fiber ports and eight 10GbE SFP+/RJ45 combo ports, and is compatible with Multi-Gigabit NBASE-T technologies to support five networking speeds (10Gbps, 5Gbps, 2.5Gbps, 1Gbps and 100Mbps), allowing the use of existing Cat 5e and 6a cables to obtain higher network speeds. The QSW-IM1200-8C also provides Layer 2 management functions (such as LACP, VLAN, ACL and LLDP) via a user-friendly Web GUI for efficient network bandwidth controls and enhanced network security.
