Why does the performance of TR-004 and TR-004U decrease in RAID degraded mode?

Problem

The performance of my expansion units TR-004 and TR-004U decrease when they are in RAID degraded mode.

Root Cause

A RAID group enters degraded mode when one or more disks in the group have failed. Due to the limitations in the design of the main chipset, the performance of TR-004 and TR-004U may decrease to around 10 MB/s in RAID degraded mode.

Solution

We recommend replacing abnormal disks in the RAID group. The performance of expansion units will be restored to a normal level after RAID rebuilding is complete.
