QNAP will cease offering Qmobile app from May 15, 2014
Taipei, Taiwan, April 30, 2014 – QNAP® Systems, Inc. today announced that Qmobile, the mobile app that enables remote access & management of multimedia files on a Turbo NAS, will be discontinued in order to focus on developing new apps for a better & more specialized mobile experience. Software updates and technical support for Qmobile will also be discontinued, and the app will be removed from the Apple App Store and Google Play from May 15, 2014.
“Mobile access to files & media is becoming increasingly popular for Turbo NAS users, and in order to devote our resources to developing high-quality specialized apps to meet their demands, we regret that we have to discontinue the Qmobile app,” said Ken Cheah, product manager of QNAP.
QNAP currently provides various apps on Apple App Store and Google Play including Qfile for managing & accessing files, Qphoto for uploading & sharing photos, and Qmusic for streaming music. In the future QNAP will continue to develop and update these apps, offering users a complete mobile data access solution and rich multimedia entertainment experiences.
