Why does antivirus run out of CPU/memory?

The following two tasks will take a large amount of memory space and use CPU resrouces while anitivirus scan is running.
- The text-based virus definition file will be uncompressed to the memory for being quickly looked up.
- To find the affected files, antivirus software uses CPU power to rapidly compare the patterns between millions of virus definitions and thousands of folders and files.
Our recommendation is to schedule the virus scan job at late night so this scan job won't disturb the use in the daytime.
